Jianfengling National Forest Park was approved by the Ministry of Forestry of the People's Republic of China to establish a national forest park in 1992, becoming the only forest park in China characterized by tropical rain forests. Covering an area of about 1600 hectares, the protected objects are mainly the tropical primitive rain forest and the rare animals inhabiting here, such as the crested gibbon, peacock pheasant, etc. Jianfengling is the first national tropical rain forest park in China, with the largest and best preserved tropical virgin forest in China. The tropical forest vegetation types in Jianfengling are complete, forming their own series and rich in wild species. There are not only tree ferns (spinulosa spinulosa), a living fossil plant of the same age as dinosaurs more than 200 million years ago, but also more than 20 kinds of rare national protected animals. The natural ecological landscape is original, magnificent and magical. To the east of Heiling, Jianfeng Ridge, there is a basin surrounded by mountains. Because it is surrounded by clouds all day long, and the clouds are rolling in it, it gets the reputation of "Tianchi". The peak can be viewed together with the "Four Seas" consisting of the forest sea, cloud sea, fog sea and sea.
