Haikou Meilan International Airport was put into use in May 1999. Sitting 270 kilometers away from the downtown, the airport is next to the Meilan Railway Station for the bullet train to Sanya, which takes 1 hour 40 minutes.It is an important hub airport in China. After the completion of its Phase 2 expansion, it will meet 4F standards. In 2017, Haikou Meilan International Airport received a Five-Star Regional Airport Rating from Skytrax and became the world’s eighth airport with the Skytrax Five-Star Airport Rating. In 2019, it received a Five-Star Airport Rating again and was named the “Best Skytrax Regional Airport in China”.

Qionghai Bo’ao Airport (IATA: BAR)
Qionghai Bo’ao Airport is located in Zhongyuan County, Qionghai City, 160 kilometers away from Sanya. It takes an hour by the bullet train to transport from Bo’ao Railway Station to Sanya. Yalongwan Railway Station
