From May 1, 2018, Sanya will implement a visa-free policy for inbound tourists from 59 countries
In order to support further opening-up of Hainan and improve its tourism and globalization, under the approval of the State Council, National Immigration Administration has decided that since May 1st, 2018, visitors from the following 59 countries can enjoy visa-free entry to Hainan Province through its open ports and are entitled to stay in the administrative regions of Hainan Province for 30 days.
The tourist's personal information includes the tourist's passport, round-trip air ticket, hotel reservation and the itinerary of the tourist trip in Hainan.
Tourists from 59 countries can take advantage of the visa-free policy when departing direct flights or connecting from Hong Kong or other countries (territories) to Hainan.
Visa-free tourists traveling from Hainan to other parts of China still need to apply for a visa in Hainan locally. When applying for a visa, you must submit a company certificate issued by a travel agency and a passport.Tourists from 6 countries - Singapore, Japan, Brunei, UAE, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina - can directly cross the border of China (including Hainan) and stay for a certain time with a regular passport, they do not need to provide personal information.
