In order to enhance the communication service experience of inbound tourists and further optimise Sanya's international tourism environment, on 13 March 2025, Sanya Municipal Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports (SATCRTS) organised a meeting to promote the facilitation of Internet access for inbound tourists. More than 40 participants attended the meeting, including the heads of relevant departments of the Bureau, representatives of tourism industry associations, key tourism enterprises and representatives of the three major telecommunication operators. The conference focused on the facilitation of communication services for inbound tourists. The persons-in-charge of China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile Sanya Branch respectively introduced special communication service programmes for inbound tourists, covering international roaming tariff optimization, multi-language service support, and network coverage enhancement in scenic spots and hotels. At the meeting, representatives of tourism enterprises and industry associations discussed the details of the programme and put forward suggestions to strengthen cross-sectoral collaboration and simplify the service process in the light of their own business needs.
The meeting proposed that: firstly, the three major operators should speed up the optimization of service programmes, and all programmes should be implemented in compliance with relevant national regulations; secondly, tourism enterprises and operators should strengthen communication and coordination, take the initiative to dock resources, and improve supporting services; thirdly, the industry associations should play the role of a bridge to promote the interoperability of information and the unification of standards; and fourthly, the governmental departments should strengthen the co-ordination and supervision, and set up a regular communication mechanism to collect and summarize the difficult issues and continue to promote the work on a regular basis. The fourth is that government departments should strengthen coordination and supervision, establish a regular communication mechanism, regularly collect and summarise difficult issues, and continue to promote the work.
